Systems Technician RequiredFull time (35 hours per week) 24 month contract position for two public libraries. Work sites: Thorold and Pelham Public Library systems. Rate of pay is $22.60 per hour. Mandated benefits only.
Qualifications: A Computer Network Operations Diploma OR two year library technology diploma with an Information Technology specialty. Experience in public training, website design and all aspects of IT, especially in a public library are required. You must possess a recent acceptable Criminal Record Check, a valid driver's license and own vehicle for travel around the Niagara region.
The Systems Technician is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of all library computer systems, applications, databases, computer networks, peripherals, and electronic subscriptions at the Thorold Library. You will design and maintain a new website for each library and provide staff and patron courses, training and support for both library systems.
Applications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. February 12, 2010. YOU MUST INCLUDE links to or examples of TWO WEBSITES which YOU HAVE DESIGNED.
