Volunteer Opportunities

At the Pelham Public Library, we welcome community participation through volunteer work. (See also FRIENDS GROUPS)

Our Volunteers

  • provide helping hands for special projects and programming
  • augment the library's collections and services through fund-raising
  • assist the Library Board and staff to convey the library's value to and in the community

If you are interested in helping with our special projects, call (905) 892-6443 and ask for Mel. Students interested in fulfilling their volunteer requirements are welcome. Please call to check if we have suitable projects available. Interested students can call any time to be placed on the volunteer projects list. All volunteers must fill out an application.

  • 1 or 2 Volunteers needed to transfer books between the Pelham Public Library in Fonthill and the Maple Acre Branch in Fenwick anytime in the afternoon on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, own transportation required
  • 2 or 3 Students or Volunteers needed to do a few hours of library yard clean-up/ leaf raking at the Pelham Public Library Branch in Fonthill, flexible schedule, we will provide the garbage bags, must bring own rake
