Library Donations

Over the past four years the Pelham Public Library has:

  • Increased its book circulation almost 40%!
  • Tripled our programming − over 7,000 people from all over our Region now attend our great
  • children’s and adult programs!

  • Our volunteers contribute time equivalent to one person working full−time for ten weeks!
  • 80% of the households in Pelham have a library card!
  • Since these accomplishments would not have been possible without the assistance of our donors, sponsors and volunteers…why not help us grow? check out our volunteer page for opportunities or donate funds.

We are a registered charitable organization and will send you a Charitable Tax Receipt for amounts over $25.00. Donations are put in our Charitable Account and designated by the Library Board for new books or audiovisual items, new furnishings, children’s programs or special programs and services. If you live in Niagara, stop in and check out our special donation programs like Adopt−A−Book or Supporting Donor programs!

Make sure your return address is clearly stated. Checks are payable to: Town of Pelham Public Library. Please mail your cheque to:

Town of Pelham Public Library Box 830 Fonthill, ON L0S 1E0

Supporting Donor

Membership for Pelham residents is available at no charge. However, to help support your library, patrons may wish to make a voluntary contribution of $10.00 when membership is up for review. Receipts for income tax purposes will be issued.

As one way to enhance our collection and continue to provide the best selection of materials for your library, the Pelham Public Library Board invites you to participate in our ADOPT-A-BOOK Programme. By adopting a book you can honour a special person or mark a special event.

It is hoped that library patrons will support this programme by purchasing books for the collection at a cost lower than the current bookstore price. This can be done in the following ways:

  1. Selecting a book from the Adopt-a-Book display
  2. Making a cash donation which will be used to supplement the book budget.

Cheques should be made out to the Pelham Public Library. Receipts for Income Tax purposes will be issued.

Donations will be recognized by inserting a book plate with the donor's name inside the book. Donors will also have the privilege of being the first to borrow this book.

We ask Library friends to help support this worthwhile project which will benefit the entire community and help maintain our high level of service.
