E-books Now Available at the Pelham Public Library

Bring the library into your home. Check out an e-book. From the classics to medical reference to the latest computer instructional manual, this collection of 1325 titles, plus 2400 of publicly-available titles from Project Guttenberg are ready for viewing on your computer. Other volumes may be downloaded for use on an MP3 player.

To borrow materials, you need to visit www.netlibrary.com initially from one of the Pelham Public Library’s computers. Come in to activate your account to have these volumes at your fingertips.

To view a book in PDF format, you may have to download Adobe Reader, a free program found on the Pelham Public Library’s web site (www.pelhamlibrary.on.ca) or on www.netlibrary.com. Look for the “Get Adobe Reader” button once you are ready to check out a book. A navigation bar is available for searching the content of a book, reading a table of contents, using the online dictionary, printing sections of books, bookmarking pages, and making your own notes, among other features.

Search for a book using keyword, author, title, or used advanced search. You can browse the entire collection by going to “What’s Available.” There are lists of all e-books, e-audio books, and lists of publicly available e-books.
