Meet Alissa York, Award-winning Canadian Author

Effigy, York's latest novel was short-listed for the prestigious
Scotiabank Giller Prize. Wed., April 8, 2009 at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets:
$7.00  Students/Seniors:  $5.00.  Pelham Public Library.  We acknowledge
the support of the Canada Council for the Arts which last year invested
$20.1 million in writing and publishing throughout Canada.

 

Clothing Sale

Out with the Old - In with the NEW!  Gently Used Clothing now being
accepted at the Fonthill Branch, Pelham Public Library.  Our great
Clothing Sale begins April 14 @ 5 p.m.  Ends April 18 @ 2 p.m.  Sat. is
Buck-a-Bag Day!!

Teach an old dog new tricks as Sue from Barkbusters, the largest home
dog training company offers insight into your relationship with Fido
plus, tips on training and dog etiquette. Wed., April 29.  6:30 p.m.

Hanging on a Nail Poetry Reading

John Barta, Keith Inman, and Ron Prickett read from their new
collection. Guest poet Malcolm Matthews.  After the poetry reading, the
authors of Hanging On A Nail, Sigillate Publishers and Skyway Digital
will be glad to answer questions on self publishing.  Tues., April 28 at
7:30.
