HorrorFest

In a follow-up to last year’s Fright Nights, horror authors Gord Rollo,
Richard Gavin, and Peter Straub will be bringing adult audiences
disturbing dark fiction designed to awaken your own hidden fears.  Gord
is the author of a number of books and short stories and is a member of
The Horror Writer’s Association. Wed., Oct. 28.  7:30 p.m.  $3.00.
Please register ahead.

 

The Friends of the Pelham Library’s Christmas Gala Evening and Auction

Find that one-of-a-kind gift - theatre tickets, framed art, golf
packages, handcrafted creations, and much more!  Mon., Nov. 9, 2009
Preview 6:30 p.m.   Auction 7:30 p.m.  Featuring:  Featuring pianist
Frank Krahn and auctioneer Brian Sullivan. Light Refreshments and
Delectable Desserts. Wine sold by the glass.  $5.00 in advance   $6.00

Heart of Niagara Fall Reading Series

Nino Ricci, two-time winner of the Governor General’s Award for Fiction.
Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets:  $7.00   Seniors/students:   $5.00.
Purchase Tickets in Advance.  We acknowledge the support of the Canada
Council for the Arts which last year invested $20.1 million in writing
and publishing throughout Canada.  

 

Beginners’ Tai Chi

Nancy Elkin, registered physiotherapist teaches these beginners Tai Chi
classes. Great for improving balance, coordination and overall movement.
Please wear comfortable clothes and soft-soled shoes. Space is limited.

Your Dog & You & The Holidays 

Back by popular demand! Sue from Barkbusters, the largest dog training
company will be hosting this session for “dog parents” and offering
insight into your relationship with Fido along with training tips to
help you survive the holidays! Wed., Nov. 25 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
